Dhaka region is in the central part of the country and homes Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. Chittagong region is situated in the southeast region and includes the most important port and the second largest city named Chittagong. The Rajshahi district is in the northwest part of the country and is influenced mainly by the Indian culture. Khulna, the smallest of the main regions, lies in the southern part of the country containing many islands in the Bay of Bengal and the Sunder Bon rain forest.
